Near Haarzuilens Castle there is a sea of crocuses. Thousands of flowers, in the most delicate shades of purple, white and yellow, spread out like a living painting. The colours seem to dance in the warm evening sun, like brushstrokes of an impressionist master. The field undulates gently, as if the earth itself is breathing, while the flowers, like small spots of paint, playfully embrace each other.

In this photo, the focus was deliberately on close-up, with a large lens opening. The crocuses further in the image therefore become dots of paint. The optical construction of the vintage Nikkor lens - a so-called sonnar type - ensures a beautiful progression of the blur / bokeh.
